I don’t whether Michelle Obama’s heard Harmonica Shah’s new album, “Live at the Cove.” I do know this, though: she’ll be shaking her behind in the White House if she ever listens to “Mrs. Obama’s Boogie.” Canadian guitarist Jack De Keyser sets the funky pace and he rumbles through the melody as Detroit bluesman Harmonica Shah implores the First Lady to join him on the dance floor. The song doesn’t really boogie, though, until he starts blaring on his harp. Harmonica Shah blows even harder on “Who’s the Fool” and “Big Boss Lady.” Simply put, “Live at the Cove” includes some of the fiercest blues tunes I’ve heard in a long time. And if they don’t make Mrs. Obama want to dance, we need a new first lady .
